Federal employment information and assistance are provided through the Personnel Services Center, Ft Benning. A current listing of available appropriated fund positions may be obtained by calling the 24-hour record-a-phone at (706) 545-7084.

Employment information is also available at the Personnel Services Center for other Federal agencies and the local community. Information is provided to family members, transfer eligibles, reinstatement eligibles, disabled veterans, handicapped candidates, discharged/retiring military personnel, and the general public. Copies of vacancy announcements, job applications, and other forms needed to apply are available upon request. Information and assistance will be rendered by the Personnel Services Center staff on proper procedures for completion of applications. A family member advocate is available to provide individualized advice and assistance in the employment process. A full-time Veteran's Counselor is available from 0800 to 1645 daily. Representatives from the Georgia State Employment Office and AAFES Personnel Office are available on Wed from 0800 to 1300, telephone (706) 545-3374. Representatives from the National Association of Retired Federal Employees are available from 1000 to 1400 every Tues.

The Directorate of Civilian Personnel has equipment to provide service to the hearing impaired. Access to the device requires that the caller have a compatible telecommunications device; the device is activated to receive communication Mon-Fri, from 0800 to 1645 by dialing (706) 545-3425. Services are available to hearing impaired individuals seeking employment information or other Civilian Personnel assistance.
