The Fort Benning Red Cross station is located in Building 2626, , Soldier's Plaza off Dixie Road.

Emergency Communication – Trained Red Cross workers help soldiers and their families in emergency situations by delivering emergency messages. The station also provides information, referrals, and advocacy. The Red Cross facilitates messages, but commanders make all decisions regarding emergency leave. Service is always available – after hours, family members can call the toll-free number at 1-877-272-7337 for assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) messages include birth announcements, death announcements, family care plan changes, financial emergencies, and serious illnesses. Emergency communications are typically limited to situations involving immediate family members.

Volunteer Opportunities – The Red Cross offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities throughout Fort Benning – from medical facilities (MACH, Veterinary Clinic) to libraries to our main office. Red Cross volunteers can learn new skills while gaining valuable experience, using their talents and creativity and making friends. Responsible teens may volunteer also as a part of our Youth Volunteer Program.

Training – The Red Cross offers Health & Safety classes, such as community first aid and safety (includes CPR), babysitting training, lifeguard training, and swimming lessons. Contact our office for a current schedule.
