Transportation:
Transportation services are provided by taxi service located outside
near the baggage claim area.TAXI service from or to the Atlanta
Airport.Shuttle Services /TAXI service are available for pickup and drop
off at the Atlanta Airport. Most shuttle services will take you to the
location of your choice (Home, Airport, Hotel, Post, etc...) If
Traveling by Car (Pov) It is a two-hour drive from Atlanta, via
Interstate 185. The Fort Benning military community can also be
reached on Interstate 85 south, to Interstate 185 south, this route will
lead you directly into the installation. You may then travel (right) on
1st Division Rd. to Dixie Rd. You will then find the Installation
Welcome Center (Bldg 2622)or Should you arrive in Columbus on I-185
south, remain on the interstate until you come to the Military Police
checkpoint. They will check your ID card Custer Road is the first exit.
Take this exit and turn right. Continue for approximately 2 1/2 miles until you see the first main intersection. This is Benning Road; turn left. Immediately on the right as you turn is a MP Welcome Center. The soldier on duty can provide you with a map, directions, and assistance. If you travel by commercial airlines or
bus, Fort Benning has Welcome Stations
